My brother is refinishing a cheap but great-playing SG copy for me. It's a Silvertone by Samick,
lovingly now referred to as the Esque-G. If you're interested, progress pics are HERE.

I'd like to do lettering on the headstock and truss rod cover as per the mockup below, but have
no idea how to go about it. Looks like a light-colored waterslide decal won't work on such a dark
background. My arts and crafts skills are rudimentary at best.

If you'd care to help, please provide any relevant thoughts on the the most idiot-proof method of
    getting this done.

    Thanks for your input.

    Quick/dirty method

If you have you logo designed, take it to a local sign shop and get them to cut
you a white vinyl decal. Apply on a SMOOTH surface then clear over it.

You could probably have the truss rod cover done at a trophy shop.

White will work fine over black on white decal paper. The only drawback is that the white paper is much thicker

You can also use a vinyl cut out of the logo as a stencil so you can spray paint the logo any color you want, then clear coat over it.

You can print a clear decal with the logo backwards. Then use your color of choice to fill in the letters with a brush. I use plastic model paint from a hobby shop. Let that dry. And then transfer the decal onto your headstock. You will need a little glue in your decal soaking water to help it stick.

Or go to Sams_mom on ebay, relatively cheap and good quality
