I leave for Ireland tomorrow. It's my first trip there and I can barely contain my excitement. I'm staying in Westport, Co. Mayo, just down the road from Matt Molloy's (of The Chieftains). Molloy's has music 7 nights a week, so I'm hoping to sit in for a seisún (I've played a few at my local Hibernian club). I bought myself a Washburn Rover, which seems an ideal guitar for both travel and squeezing into a crowded pub. I have the Rover tuned to DADGAD and it sounds great.

I'll also be taking a jaunt up to Bushmills, Northern Ireland to see The Giant's Causeway...and, of course, visit the Old Bushmills Distillery.
