I am picking up a "like new" 1999 50's classic.
Seller states it is a Sonic Blue. Everything I have seen states Daphne blue.
So what color is it? Can anyone help me out?

Looks like my Daphne. But that one has replaced the pg from 1-ply to a 3-ply.

Looks Daphne to me ... just like the Musicmaster Bass my dad bought for me in 1971!

Yes,....... the single warped badly. Previous owner replaced it.

This turned out to be a major bust!

    Neck pocket was not great.
Neck was nice, frets were excellant.
Neck was CRACKED, from the heel to the heel side
of the 20th fret. It was strung with 9/42 strings. Nut was cut for 11's and nut slots were at a clight angle, away from the tuners!
Pickguard was upgraded,..... to a standard MIM?!

    What a mess,......!

Doesn't sound like new to me.

Sometimes the carrier will damage a guitar, but in this case the vendor has dug him self a really deep hole he can't easily get out of.

    Sorry to hear it.

    Thanks Boris'

It was a flea-bay listing. Seller was a local.
So I would be able to inspect and play it.

Did not get to the "play it" stang,....
