My much loved Petersen cap
Caps aren't advised here as they do not give enough coverage from skin cancer, particularly on the ear lobes. I wear a straw cowboy hat in summer for the all around brim.
When in the bush DO NOT touch another man's hat. I've seen blood spilt over that.
Coconut telescope, purchased from Mayer the Hatter in NOLA. My fair weather standard.
I have hats, collected from a lifetime of travels.
I never wear any of them though, unless it's insanely cold outside. Like in my avatar.
Lately I have been giving them away.
When I get home from this funeral trip today, I'll post a photo of some notable hattage.
tery now that's a hat!
Tony Joe White got one here the same in my town/city and always said thanks to us folk. He had an Australian R M Williams Black hat made in Percy St. Prospect, Adelaide , South Australia.
The home of all ringers ( cowboys) hats, boots, jeans , shirts etc. You could even get a saddle there.
Where to start
I bought my first "real" hat (a Stetson Fedora) at Meyer when I was there for a business meeting in the mid-90s. I've since added several more to my collection, but am still in need of a straw one for summer.
Hats have a brim.
Caps have a bill.
The Power of Fun .
My Hooks cap. Bought a back up in black.
a few guitar-centric caps ...
My Wrangler palm leaf sharing my 5E3 clone
Same hat, brim trimmed to an Stetson 'ambassador' size brim.
