specifically the new 84 model and the vintage beretta

I’ve convinced myself I’d like a shredder guitar with a Floyd and I’ve come to Kramer as an option, I don’t have a place to try one out in person

Have any of you guys tried these? How are they overall, how are the necks?

Any experience with any of the newer Kramer models would help

I took a chance on The 84 (Indonesian) and thought it was a great guitar. I couldn't control the SD JB Humbucker, but before switching it, I put a 250k pot and it now sounds great at lower and louder volumes (it came with a push/pull 500k and I didn't think the single coil sound was very good and full on was way to hot for me.

The drummer in our band is a big Van Halen fan, and I think we're gonna try and get back together within a few weeks, so I think he'll like what I've done to it ;)

The neck is very nice satin finish, comfortable and plays fast but isn't wide and thin like some Jackson's and Ibanez's I've played.

Floyd Rose 1000 is pretty solid, but not perfect with extreme use. May try an FR Original for the heck of it, but not in any rush.

A bit spendy, but overall a really good guitar. And I'd like to try a Kramer Nightswan (not a big fan of the polka dots, but maybe they'll do a lightning strike finish if they become popular).

Here it is....I had to do it! :) It's been my stay at home project.

    Cool!

    That looks great

My biggest concern is the neck I can’t get along with flat feeling necks like Jackson or Ltd/esp

If the neck is kind of slim but has a nice round C-shape it will do

Is there any way for you to measure the necks thickness?

I knew someone here would have had hockey stick cravings like myself

Yeah, I have one of those template tools to show you the shape and a caliper to take a few measurements. Let you know soon....now that I want them, I'll have trouble finding them! :)

Hey Fretting Out, here's a photo comparing the profile to a Jackson Dinky and Fender Classic Series 60s Strat. Calipers are still doing a good job of hiding though.
