Has anyone paired a SD Little 59 bridge with a P90 neck pickup?

Just wondering if that would be a good combination for rock/blues - thoughts or experiences?

@bftfender - thats a Duncan mini humbucker in the bridge - did you remove the cover? It looks like a full size humbucker?

its the mini DiMarzio Super Distortion. Pole pieces can adjust, really has a cool blend with p90, Kinda describe it as an airy sounding humbucker. It is not nearly as hot a regular SD & matches nice output with the p90

In the end it just didn't work between them.

Now they're divorced, but still good friends.

I have one paired with a classic stack front and they are great together; i also have a Tele with a P90 in front and think the lil 59 would be great with it, that lil 59 is badass, especially with a series/parallel switch.

I’ve got one, as well as a dearmond gold foil I’m thinking of pairing together when I do my first scratch build... I figure they sound good individually, so maybe they’ll sound good together? I’ll keep an eye on this thread for sure!

I think I'm gonna try it when my P90 arrives Wednesday - really the only question is how the middle position on the 3 way switch will sound.

I assume the reason you have not updated us is because you're drowning in women as a result of your newfound golden guitar tone

HaHa - tried it and did not like it in that guitar. I ended up buying a Squier Cabronita Thinline with the P-90's disguided as Jazzmaster pups - that sounds much better to me

How do you like that new Thinline? I think it looks cool, and P90s are my all time favorites (I like Jazzmaster pickups too). I have the Cab with Filter'trons, twangy, with benefits :D

Love it - sounds better clean or with just a taste of overdrive. Really liking the clean middle and neck positions too. Nice guitar and only thing I changed was the saddles / not a fan of Stratocaster style.
