Has anyone heard of this tone switch? “King Tone”

    They're an "authorized dealer". Be careful not to buy one somewhere else and take a chance on getting duped by the fakers and counterfeiters!!

    It's some kind of a 4 way rotary switch. It's passive so it can't be any more than caps, resistors and maybe a choke or a coil like a varitone.

    It’s clearly a four-way rotary switch. Of course, the red cap on there serves as “goop” to keep prying eyes away from the propriety circuit. I’m sure with a bit of research you could build your own.

    $157 for SRV tone - guaranteed? what about very high action and a set of 13's? still need em?
    this is a rip - you can buy those rotary switches and a handfull of caps for a couple of dollars

    Pardon my crass speech, but this statement is why I believe that in guitar-speak, Tone = Boobs. It's the shameless sex appeal move to get you to look twice. "Ooh, it's tone? I better check it out!"

    I've never heard of a tone king switch.

    I do recall a furniture store called Sofa King. They had good deals on furniture. The deals were "Sofa King" good.
