The Strumenti is a student cello that is manufactured overseas on an assembly line to it is quick and inexpensive to produce. With that said, it is actually a decent beginner cello and with a few small tweeks (chalk on the tuning pegs, new strings) you can have it performing on par with more expensive cellos. I have ordered a few for my students in the past. I would recommend it, UCantGoWrong!

Pro Tip: Go for the 103 or 106 model if you are doing student or 205 if you want a step up. The Strumenti a Corde 104 has a glossy finish and doesn't resonate as well as the matte finish does. This is pretty typical for stringed instruments. It's something about the gloss they use - it just inhibits the wood from vibrating as much.
