Harmonic Tremolo

I love the sound of harmonic Tremolo. This is a trem that appears on some Fender amps. It works by splitting the audio into a high pass and low pass signals and cross fading between the two.

This project came from the Stompboxology newsletter.

I designed this PCB in Eagle and had the boards manufactured at PCBWay.com. Their prices are very reasonable. Here's a link to a blog post with more information and a schematic.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Not sure what NE571 does but that will give me something to read later on.

Did you ever figure out why the updated build didn't sound the same as the original?

I built a direct clone of the old Fender harmonic tremolo circuit (5 triode version), in a very very large pedal format, that uses tubes and an SMPS to run them at high voltages. It had a few bugs including power supply noise but sounded pretty cool otherwise. So much richer than the wiggle-trems.

I built the Zeppelin Quaverato kit, it's quite the effect and an interesting circuit. I have too many on my board already otherwise it would be on there.
