I'm pretty sure that Artist Guitars that are sold down here are Harley Benton's with a different sticker. I have a TC59 (even the model numbers run the same) and for the pittance I paid (AU$250 delivered), it's a gig ready guitar. The splittable humbuckers are very decent, I wouldn't bother changing them. It doesn't sound like a 53 tele or a 59 LP but it totally rocks on its own. Mine is set up in open G and i couldn't be happier
The Artist Bullbucker pickups are outstanding. I bought a TC59 myself. A very capable guitar.

I love and kinda live that as well. I don’t mind the “same” guitar from different manufacturer or with a different layout.

I own (and gig) with all good, cheap guitars.
Some examples of guitars I DON'T have, but would like, are LP/SG Juniors or Specials ( P-90-style) and a Jazzmaster-type.
Harley Benton has their version of these, and their prices are my budget.

Would be fun to play all the stuff I play, but with different sounds, and looks too!

I’m going to have to check them out though I’ve had my fill of budget guitars. I have too many as is. Time to upgrade and down size.

I've had my hands on just two Harley Benton guitars, both telecasters. They were nice players, no complaints there at all, but both were heavy as heck. Close to 9 pounds, I'd say. Is that common for HB, or just coincidence in such a small sample?

Howdy gents.....joined this forum specifically because I just ordered the guitar in question, should be here Wednesday. It's hard to me to find info about the Tesla pickups, I was wondering if anyone has any scoop on how they are, if its an upgrade over the Roswells the HB Teles usually come with.

I had been browsing Thomann's site for Teles for the last month, (never owned one before) and when this popped up a few days ago it seemed like the upgrades were worth the price- bone nut, different tuners, pickups, bridge and the humbucker configuration. Hardly anything online about it yet, hoping it isn't a lemon.

Sorry. I misunderstood. Ordered on the www, but now that you mention it I thought Thomann had a distributor here? I'm prob wrong. Shipping was affordable then.
Yes I thought I saw there was a new distributor in USA

That's where I saw HB stateside. Reverb!

It seems that the Reverb stores prices equals the shipping if you bought straight from Thomann. You get a 30 day return policy though. Thats nice.
