    I just got this guitar, and man, I love the hell out of it! Just wanted to ask the folks who own one , and who also still have the stock pickups, what is your pickup height for both neck and bridge??

    The correct pickup height is where they sound best to you.

    Start with the pickups low, then raise the bridge pickup until volume parity with the neck pickup when switching back and forth. You can look for youtube videos "joe walsh gibsonuk setup" and he will show you how to set pickup heights by ear.

    First mod: get a 4-way switch. Gives you humbucking LP option.

    Other mods:
    Pots and caps, as you can push tones around just like swapping pickups but for 1/10th the cost.
    Cavity shielding Aluminum flashing tape (Nashua at the hardware store)

    Mods to avoid: nut, tuners, pickups, bridge. Waste of time on most guitars unless something is actually broken.

    Pro setup if this is your first electric. Have them check frets with a fret rocker and check nut slots/adjust.

    Graphite dry lock lube in all string contact points. Greases attract dirt and make it worse.
