A quick review of the Harley Benton te 20, their most basic telecaster type guitar.

At that price, it is very decent to say the least.

I played several HB guitars (I am living close to Thomann, it's a 20min drive), because I was, from time to time, thinking they could serve as backup/spare guitars, for traveling and so on.

Some of them were Tele style, some Les Paul Standard, Junior, and also others.

I ALWAYS ended up with the same experience: they were like heavy dead bats, with some hardware and stings strung up. If you have at least some minor expectations on what people are calling "feeling", in the sense of connecting with the instrument when playing it, you will be disappointed.

No matter what the many review say (don't forget, they very often put the result in relation to the price).

that being said, they still might be useful instruments for beginners. (but even here, my 5ct is that a lively instrument might motivate a beginner more to stick with it and continue learning, than a dead one)
