Is this going to be the next step or there are others from different brands ?
Plenty of others! I'm running a pair of Headrush 108's and they are more than I need, but they sound sweet with the Gigboard and AA12 Though this would be good if you don't have IR's loaded in the pedal!
Does the Headrush 108 have cab. simulations built in ?
Na, that's where both the Gigboard and Atomic are loaded with IR's, so no need. But for a pedal that has no cab sims, that HB frfr would be the answer!
A ok, that's what i tought.
Yes that's what i was saying, with this cab you don't need an I.R. pedal for example, i was wondering if ther are others because i don't think i've seen something similar....
I haven't seen anything with screen like that, which is cool if it stays working! I'd check to see if you can load IR's into that speaker, that would really make that a good buy!
I don't think you can do that, it would be great....
I know IRs are all the rage, but in theory couldn't you achieve the same result with some careful manual EQ adjustments?
I don't think so, i don't have an I.R. pedal but a friend gave me his Mooer Radar for a concert and the result with the Joyo A.S. before was very very good, when i was trying it the days before the show i tried to see if i could get a similar sound with an eq pedal but it wasn't the same, maybe somebody better than me could do that...
95% of the IR's I've uploaded were free, they're everywhere!
This is just an option to the Line 6 Power Cab.... although at less than half the price of the cheapest Power Cab
The regular Power Cab can be set to FLAT so the modeler does all the work (ie: cab simulation), or it can be set to a variety of different speakers/cabinets...
The Power Cab Plus has all that, plus you can load your own IR's, plus MIDI so you can have a modeler or amp change the cabinets on the fly.
They also have a 2x12 version of the Power Cab Plus
Laney also makes something similar.... but without a screen and only three modes (flat, combo, stack)
Ah ok, that's what i was asking, if there is already something similar, the Line 6 seems to be the answer, much more expensive though....
You'd need something like a 1000 band eq and know how to set it.
