Just finished the latest Jack Reacher novel. If you've read any of them you know what they're like so the following isn't really a spoiler, but just in case...

In a moment of extreme danger, Reacher grabs a bass guitar from it's stand as a last resort weapon.

Placing it back on its stand afterwards, he says to the owner, 'Hope I didn't do any damage.'

The owner calmy replies, 'It's a Fender Precision Bass...'

    You know the rest...

What applies for a Tele applies for a P Bass obviously :)

Hmm. Do they do an ultra-short scale version?

Danny Trejo is not a tall guy
    Neither is Sylverster Stallone
Those guys and Tom seem to all do just fine for themselves

Same here, although Lee Child actually endorsed Cruise. Actually Lee Child would make a better on-screen Reacher if was an actor instead of a writer. He says he created Reacher as a personification of his own anger when he got made redundant from TV production.

Child has a TV deal now for a Reacher series. And Cruise, thankfully, is out (in what universe....?)

No other details have been forthcoming but I've read a few interviews with Lee so.... One of these days

Spoken like a true yorkshireman :)

    He's allowed, he's a brit, lol

Looking forward to that ... I think. Hope it does the stories justice. Hope for the best, plan for the worst...

I take it you also do not read the Reacher books? The disparity between the size of the character in the books and Cruise significantly changes the story... size (despite some objections) does matter... but, for money, it was overlooked, but the story was not as good on film as it could have been with a closer telling of the original story....

but, good knowledge on other diminutive actors! stellar, really!

I get that it’s acting, and camera angles can make mountains out of mole hills...
I guess I just don’t like one time local boy Tom Cruise. His cousin
Terry Crews fits the bill better for me!
    That’s ok right?

no! Thankfully I’ve never seen that!

Just taking a cheap shot at a movie star that I’ve never cared for.

If you're into the Lee Childs/ Jack Reacher style, give Marc Cameron's Jerico Quinn series a try. Or better yet, any of the Tim Clancy novels that Marc has done. Cameron does Clancy better than Clancy did Clancy.

The Reacher novels are a lot of fun. I am reading through the series in order so I won't get to this one for a while. Reacher is a music fan, and in one of the earlier books he gives a good description of a Les Paul.
