Pentaceyl is a long used product by wood turners to fully dip a piece of wood in it. Unfortunately it isnt the cheapeast.I have have chosen a more eye watering method on occasion with good success of coating entire bodies with water thin CA. DO NOT do in an enclosed area without good ventilation, respirator, and goggles.
I have also had good results warming the wood under a lamp for some time to open the pores along with warming epoxy parts prior to mixing which thins it, mix and apply to the heated wood and it soaks in deeper.
