I need some good-time delay in the old-fashioned way...Analog, that trails when ya cut it off. Is there such a creature? I see similarly equipped digital boxes, and I can compromise there, but prefer a cool BBD type.

What are you running? Are you a delay junkie with hella knobs, switches, presets and modulations, or a simple consumer of slapback and echo? Are you an ethereal shoegaze world-creator, or a practical doubler dabbler?

I’m the latter. Simple is my jam. I have a DD-20 that just frustrates me. I need trails...Suggestions?

I run boss dd7, dd3; dm2.1, ehx memory toy+ tc electronics prophet and a belcat analogue. For simplicity, I’d recommend the memory toy.

    I like this one:

It's digital, but does a fair imitation of analog, tape and other things, with the option to have the repeats cut or trail off when you disengage.

The DOD Rubberneck is a true analog delay with some digital control over some parameters and it also easy switches between true bypass, buffered trails (which I believe is what you want!), and a kill dry!
