Today will be the day that Zefram Cochrane invents the warp drive and initiates first contact with the Vulcans.

Knowing this is a lot more fun than knowing or thinking about many other things, right now.

That was a good Star Trek movie. Probably my next favorite after The Wrath of Khan.

I rewatched Wrath of Khan recently. It is fantastic and, perhaps, the high point of the Star Trek universe.

I was just talking the other day about the creatures they put in Chekov and the other guy's ears. Very cool movie.

Not till 2063 he won't, and we're already overdue a world war, nuclear holocaust and despotism by genetically engineered super-people.

Love me some Star Trek! I am partial to the original and TNG. Classic stuff. TNG was more in my age bracket tho. Still love the original!:) Looking forward to catching the newest series. Enterprise is it?

Low budget version of Red Dwarf with added cod pathos and soap opera levels of acting realism. Turgid, predictable nucleus of an idea, rehashed and spread ever thinner from the original space opera, through a series of cash grab film releases into doily franchises of ever increasing levels of correctness.

Best watched while sleeping. In another room. During a power cut.

The first series is notable for featuring the entire acting skill ( singular ) of William Shatner. Shatner is a surname, not a coprophiliac describing the previous nights adventure.

Watching the Next Generation was a nerdy pleasure and weekly ritual back in college with my friends! My favorite of the series.

My favorites were Enterprise, primarily because it wasn't set so far in the future that the characters were hard to relate to, and Deep Space Nine because of the intrigue always in the background.
