I use to catch him every tour back in the seventies , but the Back from Rio album was the last time I really listened to new stuff by him. I m not much of a trad folk listener so I ve skipped the Folk Den series. Have you heard him live lately I think I checked his schedual a year or 2 ago, but he was overseas.

Just another shout here from a guy who was so happy to have had the Byrd's music accompaniment to my puberty/adolescence experience. You knew sweet music and how to surround yourself with exceptional players and singers.

    Happy BD, Roger!

The only setting I've ever heard him in is with The Byrds or on Marty Stuart's old RFD-TV show - but I loved what I heard, of course. He's never close enough to me to be able to make a trip to see him live, unfortunately. That is, however, one of the things on my "bucket list" of things to do. :D

In all honesty, I didn't use to be a McGuinn fan - mainly because I hadn't studied much about him nor his music but over the years, I've slowly became a fan. He is, also, someone I'd like to meet and just shake hands with. He's also the reason I want to buy a 12-string Rickenbacker (I wish I could find a cheap signature 12-string RIC with the built-in JangleBox but - that would be like winning the Powerball Lottery! LOL. I know they're out there but, goodness, they're so expensive!!!)

Seen him twice in concert...in the '70's with McGuinn, Clarke & Hillman & in the early '90's, both solo & with Richard Thompson

Thank you...sometimes you get lucky...recalling last evening, there was a jazz trio busking in the park, after dark & the drummer switched, suddenly to tambourine, man...this was just after I took the Byrd photo...the universe delivers, sometimes!

I saw him with Dylan. He toured with Bob Dylan in 1975 and 1976 as part of Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, cancelling a planned tour of his own in order to participate.
