    I forget where I read this ( probably a feature article/ later review on the album), but Mick T. was getting into Santana, and this is him playing in that style.

    Wow!, I've never seen Keith (or any Stone) playing a Flying V!
    (it wouldn't be the first time I missed something...)

    Both both guitars sound just great here-nasty! Just too short a clip.

    Probably true. I found an old interview in Guitar Player where he says it was when The Stones were in Brazil that he got into the music there.

    What a great player.

    I got a chuckle out of watching a 70s Taylor-era Stones video showing them playing some giant arena. The band started the set with "Brown Sugar" - Keith played the big lick at the top - and Taylor did not smile or move his body in the least as the band kicked in. 50,000 screaming fans, a funky rock classic, and Taylor kept his eyes downward, focused on his guitar neck! That would not be me... I might have given off a slight grin at least... maybe tapped my foot...

    i cannot pick a favorite Mick Taylor solo. i don't think i ever heard him play anything i didn't like a lot.
