B.B. King was born on Sept 16 1925 in Indianola Mississippi. Today he turns 85. One of the all time greats.

    Happy Birthday B.B.!

The man is absolutely amazing, and even at 85 still works as many days each year as most of us do. Some folks won't see him because he's not the performer he once was (who is?) but I will keep going to his shows as long as he keeps coming to my town.

If a genie would grant me one wish, that would be to meet MISTER Riley "Blues Boy" King.

Happy Birthday to the one, the only, the best - BB KING.

can you just imagine the changes in the business he's been witness to, not to mention being a part of?

    Happy B-day Mr. King

Just making it to age 85 is quite an accomplishment. But to still be playing concerts at that age is truly amazing. I hope I can still play if I make it that far.
If you haven't seen B.B. live, you owe it to yourself to catch one of his performances while he is still with us.

    Happy Birthday B.B.!!!
I sure hope You & Bobby come to Boston for a "Main Event".
    Symphony Hall would be ideal.
Yeah - B.B.King, Bobby Bland, and The Boston Pops...
"Further On Up The Road", "Everyday I Have The Blues"...
"Evening At Pops" - Tonight B.B.King and Bobby Bland
I guess I'm askin' for my birthday present.
Thanks for The Vocabulary, The Vibrato and The Stinger on the 22nd fret.

You know I'm looking at this picture again.. BB was appx 25 years old when this album was made... A few years before he had decided that farming was not for him and he moved to Memphis with his young wife to make his way as a blues guitar player. And he played an EARLY telecaster. What a start in life, and he's still going strong.

I've seen him live several times, the first in 1985 when he was about 60. Just an amazing man. My good friend in 1989 has an ES-355 Lucille that he got B.B. to sign when he was in Houston playing at the Arena theater. An amazing guitar.. I'll try to get a picture of it later today.
