    Loki is now Hank Williams.

Anyone seen it yet? Planning to see it?

The reviews appear to be all over the place.

If you don't like his music will he destroy your planet?

Not familiar with the actor at all. First thing I'd done was try to get Hank III to play his grandpa, and the second thing I'd do is write the movie that Hank III would have said "yes" to playing him. If the trailer was any indication of the whole thing I'm not sure I'm interested something so slicked up and shiny...

Some "actors" cannot act, play, sing or write, but seem undeterred.

Hank III sings like his grandpa.

I don't think they wanted that.

Loki's voice is more blanded-out than Hank's was. And - I think that's what they wanted.

Bet they thought they could get across whatever it was they were trying to with a more palatable voice/actor.

With Loki you have a guy who was in one of the highest-grossing films of all time and he doesn't have that nasal thing/accent that I bet a lot of backers and producers could not hang with.

I love Hank, his grandson, and Loki's a good actor too.

But - I'll wait for cable.

Oh yeah - and, I'm not buying Cutie-Pie Olsen as Miss Audrey. Not a bit.

Bein a good ol southern boy, raised on country music and spending a good chunk of my life here in Alabama I am curious to see this as I am with anything they do about Hank. I have to agree though with Hank3, you don't cast an Englishman to play a good ol boy. They should have gone with someone who has lived the life and understands what it means. Everything about him (from the trailer at least) seems off. He doesn't sound right, he doesn't walk right, he doesn't talk right. I get the need to be commercially successful and have big money backing it, but if you want to honor Hank.....

I get this...kind of like the Brit playing Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead. Good actor but had a real awkward way of doing the Georgia accent for the first couple seasons.

Loki as Hank? I've been waiting for a Hank Williams movie for a while now, and we get this? Judgment will be saved until I actually watch it, but I'm not rushing out.

A friend of mine caught it last year during the local film fest...she's not a Hank fan or a musician, but loves T.H. & Loki, really liking the movie. Sure, Hank3 woulda been ideal for at least the musical parts. Bottom line, while I appreciate hearing various opinions, I'm a Hank Sr. fan & enjoy music bios, so it's on my to-do list.

I saw a big billboard sign advertising this movie.
Being a guitar nerd, I noticed the pick guard on his Gibson J45 was wrong.
It was the bigger post 1954 guard, instead of the smaller, more Martin style guard.
Hank died Jan 1, 1953 right?
Hank may have played/owned a J45, but I've seen lots of pics of him playing a SJ, with the small guard.
    Details, details.
I'm sure it's a swell movie, with lots of predictable drama, and pretty men and women, telling a story everybody knows.
I'll wander off now, back to my warm milk and cookies.
    Yawn, goodnight.

The crime is that this movie wasn't better promoted, given Hank's ginormous impact on Country music, or in general. I never knew it existed, even considering I've been reading his biography the past few months. However, I get how pre-1955 music is probably hard to sell to the general public.

    But Loki???

Well even though Loki is mean, he is a better pick than Thor. A little too big for the role.
