We usually only get one or two groups of kids every year that knock on the door. I grabbed a small bag of candy today while I was shopping, just in case, but I'm guessing all of the candy will end up being consumed by us.

I should add though that they just built 6 new houses on our street alone in the last 8 months. That's how fast our neighborhood is growing, so who knows how many if any may stop by.

Yes ,last night was trick or treat in our township. I wore a mask and passed out candy bars and bags of chips.
Not all that many kids but when they came they were in herds.
    Good Time

Weve lived here for 3 years and literally never had a single kid show up. I've had 4 kids in the past 20 mins. My dogs are going insane.

    Same as every year, No.

Christmas and Easter are more than enough, and we probably won't have Christmas this year.

No. We're leaving the porch lights off and keeping the front rooms dark, not answering the door.

We have a new family near us with young ones, but they don't plan on going door-to-door is my understanding.

I feel bad for the kids, too, but it's just not going to happen.

Uh, yup. Mrs 3T spent a few hours making up pre-packaged treat bags. We’ll have a remote pickup station at the end of the driveway. Got little ones on either side of us, so we’ll have at least 2 visitors. Last year we had 30-40, or so.

    .

    Not this year.
No one is going out either.

Bought some candy that sits in the quarantine shed until past the 72hrs limit.

(wife works in the healthcare industry ... and she's seen stuff. We've been wearing our Halloween masks all year.)

    Y'all be careful out there.

My wife's panicking. For years, she'd buy four bags of candy and only a handful of kids would come to our door. So this year, she bought only two bags. She just said there's a ton of tiny little kids walking around outside with their parents. I'm sitting in the basement watching college football so it's not my problem.:D

No offense taken. Now that I get the reference, that's actually darn funny! Wish I'd have picked up on it right off.

It’s 5:30. My wife and I put a table with dishes of candy outside. Mars bars. We had a separate dish with Ghirardelli squares with a sign that reads, “For moms”. We’re not opening the door. There’s no need. We’ve had six or eight groups walk up the walkway. A few moms took chocolate squares.

My opinion of whether what they’re doing is wise doesn’t really matter. Kids need special days. We’re doing what we can to allow that without risking exposure to ourselves. Everyone we’ve seen has been masked. Social distancing? Not so much.

I have one neighbour, with a primary school-aged daughter. I'll drop them off some apples, tomorrow- the last from the Granny Smith harvest. I'll put a few chocolate bits and pieces, at the bottom of the tray.......

My neighbors never ring my doorbell. For some reason, they find it rather off-putting that I frequently yell at the squirrels in my yard. Kooks.

To be honest i don't understand why we celebrate Halloween here in Italy, this is happening maybe since the middle 90's, i'm not gonna miss the celebration this year....:):):)
Not that i'm against it, i just don't see the point.
