Please for one time don't blow this thread up just because you can. I'm genuinely interested in how many of you are going to participate in Halloween this year. We have bought a huge bag of candy, and intend to leave the lights on. If we get any kids okay, if we don't then that's okay too.

We haven't had any kids come around in our neighborhood for years, and I doubt that'll change today.

No, my wife is a high risk patient (diabetes, heart bypass, stroke) and I don't want to risk her health from anyone at this point. Love kids, love candy, don't want the risk. I don't want "Died from Halloween" on any grave markers.

No. I have candy if it happens that someone knocks but we chose not to decorate and are keeping the kids home.

I'm apprehensive but my wife wants to give it a try we'll see how it goes. She will drop the treats in the kids bags, rather than let them reach into the bowl.

I’m putting out a big bowl of ziplock bags filled with individually packaged candy.

If no kids show up, I’ll give it to my nieces/nephews, or to my students.

We intend to set out a bowl for trick or treaters. We will take our three out. We intend to follow strict adherence to the porch light rule and keep our distance when possible.

Cancelled here. Saw 2 kids last year. I probably won't see any this year.

I have no idea of the city fathers have cancelled it here or not. Don't care. Not one penny spent on sugar or decorations, lights off. It's been so many years since we've participated, I can't remember the last time. So not this year, or any other. IOW, "Bah! Humbug!"

We live on a county road with no sidewalks and in 17 years in the same house have never had 1 trick or treat call. Nevertheless, I always have some candy on the side, just in case, and we always end up eating it ourselves.

This was what I wanted to do, but the Mrs. wants to hand stuff out for kids who show up.

The boy and I will be watching cartoons.
