I recorded a rhythm and melody track (chord chart was helpful); I think my rhythm got drowned out by the gypsy.... maybe learn the real melody later. Happy New Year:)

You played some nice lines within the changes, Miguel and made it sound very good on acoustic.

Yes, you handled the different key well and the vocals were an added plus.

It sounds fine and nice lines throughout especially about 1:51 on.

21 downloads - maybe not all from twangers, but maybe more coming.

I spent way too long on this. It is not perfect, but it has moments and I learned a lot. It started driving me crazy! Agile neck on the melody, bridge on the second part, where I was sort of trying to be a clarinet.

@fendrguitplayr - It sounds like you had fun with it! Clever arrangement. Thanks for the fun track, through it drove me nuts.
@beagle - That is really cool. I like the tone and the improvising around the melody. It took me a great while to even figure out the melody.
@Mellencaster - That's probably the way Roger McGuin would play it. Great ideas!
@Mjark - The acoustic sounds great. Because you said your fingers can't take acoustic anymore, I was expecting a roaring Telecaster take, but this is very cool.
@Mikejazz - No fair! You actually know how to play this! I enjoyed it quite a bit.
@teletimetx - Cool country impressions. Both guitars have great tone and great contrast. The vocal was a nice surprise! Maybe just a touch too much reverb though.

Listening to you right now, I hear no ignorance at all, I hear you playing out of pents and some chord tone playing. Minimal or zero blues bends, like playing C minor pent with all the bends that would be rough unless you're Bill Frisell. So I thought you had good instincts for a tune like this.
You also had a good strong melody that guided me through to the end.

@G-52 - Even without the "real" melody this is nice. The phrasing seems right on.
@Alan L Cole - Nice variations on the melody. The delay gives it a nice depth and contrast with the backing track.

Nice interplay, no stepping on the other guy's line.

It's simple music for your sweetie,

@fendrguitplayr - Sounds good Mike. You got the essence.
@beagle - Nice bits Mr. Beagle.
@Mellencaster - The acoustic sound good Mike. Nice playing.
@Mjark - Another nice acoustic take Mark. Pretty playing.
@Mikejazz - Sweet tone and take Miguel.

@G-52 - Nice tone, chord work and riffin'. Sounds good!
@guitarsophist - Time well spent I'd say. Nice guitar parts and playing. Sounds complete.

Sweet tones and lines throughout, Alan. I liked your phrasing and mix as well.

I liked the interaction between the two guitars. The mix between them and the backer is good too.

I gave it another try; redid the rhythm with a basic melody, and had fun:)

    Sorry this is late...
@fendrguitplayr- pretty melody throughout, nice intro and love the double-stops. Thanks for the BT.
@beagle- nice, sounds like you know your way around this song
@Mellencaster - enjoyable take Mike, nice playing with a nod to the blues; blended nicely with the BT
@Mjark - really liked this with great country riffs and double-stops; melody in the beginning really set the tone
@Mikejazz - beautiful jazzy runs, very nice soothing playing
@teletimetx - beautiful playing and great vocals; thanks for posting:)
@Alan L Cole - you did not disappoint; masterful playing and yet you retained the singing melody throughout; beautiful
@guitarsophist - your dedication paid off; you nailed the melody and I liked the call and response. (I needed to google a song-sheet to get the melody.)
