Long gone now (explorer e2) along with about 20 or so others over the years but I kind of wish I kept it ....

Not a guitar, but I absolutely bought this Fender bass just because. 138812.jpg
And I admire it so much that I won't touch it. I just keep it in the case and take a peek twice a year. Yes - crazy. However I wanted to "play" with it, but because I did not want to touch this beaty, I made a copy of her. That's why I now have two of these. One "replica" to show and play, and one "real thing" to keep in the case. I have had it in the case now for some 15 years...

I have had many, I have pix from the last 10 years or so....before that I had only a few guitars over 30+ years. Granted, I sold most of those pictured.

Epi 69 (?) Sheraton RI .. oasis Noel Gallagher tribute .. union jack, tree of life headstock, trapeze tail .. turns out it plays just fine, but definitely a ‘looks’ buy. Most definitely!

I've had a few Danelectro guitars, still love my DC-3, but kept an eye out for a Hodad, because it looked cool to me. The Mosrite-ish body and sonic options on tap with the 4 lipstick pickups set the hook and when a bargain one popped up, I grabbed it.

I picked this up last week - a mid 60s Framus Fret Jet in black rose sunburst. I went to see Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood the week before and one of the guitars they had was a Fret Jet, so started poking around on Ebay and the inevitable happened... it's a very cool guitar with a unique sound, so it should come in handy for recording projects.

Recently the Mustang guitar I bought a few days ago, but it's not going anywhere. It's very likely that it could be my number one, as it plays absolutely superb. Gas has been a life long trauma though, I've bought and sold so many guitars, I can't even remember them all now.

The GAS driven impulse buys tend to be the first to go when money is tight. They are usually the easiest to sell as well.

Yep, I had one of those monsters too, mainly for looks. Did’t even look that cool in the flesh, glue round the frets, softest basswood body ever, greenest sonic blue you’ve ever seen, Pearloid looked more like marble vinyl and played horribly.

    Still miss it.
