I still hate those things!!!
Relic'd guitars. Sorry, I know some of you folks love 'em but they're not for me
forgive me, but I love to hate a Parker Fly.
Not just the outer space looks, but also the piezo.
Electrics are electrics and acoustic is acoustic.
That being said, I love to love Taylor's T5s.
Les Paul, Superstrats, 7 stringers,
I also dislike a Gibson SG.
If you are set on a Gibson, then focus on a LP standard or custom.
I know I said it many times but I never could see the appeal of a Firebird or Thunderbird, especially reversed. I know many have got great tones out of them. I know many love them. To me, they don't look right. Many (not all, of course) don't sound so great. Other than threads like this, I keep it to myself.
A couple of weeks ago a friend invited me over because he bought his dream axe. "You have to feast your eyes on this and hear the amazing tone".
(I think we can all see where this story is going. )
A fish shaped guitar, hard to play scales without laughing .
Anything by Dean (see #1).
B C Rich (see #1).
Shark tooth inlays.
Auditorium sized acoustics.
Les Pauls (don't own one, and I always have trouble with the narrow frets up high).
SG (see above).
Licensed Floyd Rose (see #1).
Seagull acoustics (at the same time generic and unoriginal headstocks).
Ovation acoustics (can't play them sitting down).
Any guitar shaped like something else.
Its a guitar, not a machine gun or a battle axe (I'm looking at you Gene Simmons).
The usual pointies and the neon shredder guitars. I love sparkly rockabilly-looking guitars though.
I also think Vs are ridiculous and double necks just so stupid.
If it's a guitar and it's set up well, I'll find something about it to love.
Is that a guitar or bass?
