Those round drum head guitars with five strings and the skinny necks.
I can’t get any sustain out of em’, no matter how hard I play em’.
    Very uncool.

I kind of think a well done Jack Daniels Guitar would be good looking. Of course I have collected Old No. 7 Memorabilia. A cheap guitar with a stamped Jack Daniels emblem would still be a cheap guitar.

Gibson still puts out finishes that are very clown-bursty. i don't get it and i can't imagine they sell. but they must. so the travesty continues!

edit: it is also worth noting here that FMIC puts out some very suspect looking 3tone sunbursts that look pants

    I'm a guitarist.

    Uncool is not possible.

That has all the vibe of the fridge behind the bar, even in countries where you can't get that beer. I can imagine someone wearing sunglasses with that guitar, thinking they're cool.

No way I'd play that unless it was refinished. I do like hardtails.

Speaking of which, I used to consider Dean guitars cheap, in particular because this model was actually in the Sears catalog.

I find Teles, Les Pauls and Strats* uncool - they have a boring "obvious choice" vibe about them. I see players with SG's, 335's V's, Jnr's, pretty much any other model and think they must have gone for that guitar for a reason, but when I see players with Tele's LP's and Strats I think they just made the easy choice, like do you realise there are other guitars out there?

Disclaimer: I am in no way suggesting that this is at all true of Tele, LP or Strat players, so lots of love to you all; this is just the uncool vibe I get from these three

*big-headed strats are the exception; they look like hard-as-nails rock machines next to the flimsy-looking small-headed models

I think that my Godin Belmont guitar is so uncool that is super cool. It looks like a cross between a Gibson SG and a Danolectro guitar. It has that 50's/60's vibe to it & is equipped with genuine Seymour Duncan pickups...2 Lipstick Tubes and a Duncan '59 in the bridge for all the classic tones.:)

You can move the rear strap button up 3 inches and the problem is solved.
