Issue 445, May, has loads on the Tele and juicy pics of great examples of specific years. Sweet! 1555242118301248790504431961404.jpg

I rarely guy magazines but that one looks like it would be worth a look.

    Next stop Barnes & Nobles!

BTW, how is it that the Brits put out a better magazine about American guitars than the Americans?...

I used to be a regular “Guitarist” reader from issue 1, but I stopped a while ago. It hasn’t been the same since Neville Marten relinquished the editorship the first time. However, this issue might be worth a look, although equally it may contain nothing I haven’t seen before. I think I’ll pop into W H Smith to try before I buy... ;)

I'm sure it will arrive at newsstands on my side of Europe - sooner or later.

Like Neil Young sang " Long May You Run".
I still love guitar magazines, no noise, eye candy as you folks say in the US. and interviews.
I have a Vintage Guitar Magazine with eye candy and in another the last interview with George Harrison.
That stuff is just joyful .

Thank you @rze99, I will buy it for sure!
Used to read Guitarist and sometimes still do, I own several of their special issues and this one will be part of my telecaster library :)

Mimmo where do you buy Guitarist? I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen it in news-stands around Milano, but I might be wrong… I’d sure like to add this special issue to my library, although I’m pretty sure that I won’t learn anything new…

I used to buy it in Rome, in piazza della repubblica :)
After eight years in paris I don't know if they are still selling this magazine, in the worst of cases I will buy it directly online. I know, one has to add the shipping cost but hey, once in a while it is feasible!

Should I find one in Rome I will buy a second one for you! ;)

What are the options to buy this in the US? Will Barnes and Noble have it?

Guitarist and Guitar magazine are the only two mags I still buy. American mags like Guitar Player and Guitar World aren't worth buying anymore since they're more "Flavor of the week" kind of magazines.

I used to have Guitarist delivered by the newsagent till one month it didn't turn up and I couldn't be bothered to go and find out why. It was getting a bit pricey and there was a decreasing amount of content that interested me. As Tony474 said, it started going downhill after Neville Marten left.
If I see this edition in the shops I might get it because of Telecasters.

I need to buy this issue, just to sort out the prototypes, years, lineage. I thought the 70th anniversary was in 2016.

This settles it. I'll look for it in Milan and if nothing works I'll be in Rome for Easter, meet Mimmo for cappuccio&cornetto somewhere then go to Piazza Della Repubblica and get my copy ;)
