I’m not thinking about Zep, or bohemian rhapsody, etc, but songs that have awesome guitar solos that don’t make the lists. But maybe should.

So, Danny kortchmars solo in Jackson Browne’s 'stay' from 'running on empty' is I think underrated and over looked.

Foreigners 'cold as ice' is fantastic. That climb up the scale is just sublime

There are others. What do you think?

I think some of Lindsay Buckinghams solos like in Go Your Own Way and The Chain are underrated. Both are great songs, and I enjoy playing them in my acoustic type duo.

My favorite is Terry Kath’s Solo on Chicago’s “25 or 6 to 4”

The wah in the middle of the solo kills me.

Elliot Easton of The Cars always slipped nice solos into songs without you noticing. Then at some point later you're like "whoa, that was cool".

If you're an 80s kid, you've heard this one a million times....

...but there's actually a lot of nice playing on this tune. A tasty little lead break at 2:30, then the soaring outro lead at the end. I always dug it.

And this needs to win some kind of award for the most heavily processed guitar tone ever committed to tape...

Search out the live coke-era version and you’ll see the dude is also the lead singer , and I think, the only guitarist.

I've always loved Willie's funky solo that starts around 1:30 on this version of Whiskey River. Much prefer this version to the slower studio take on Shotgun Willie.
