Not my all-time favorite, but still one of the very few Stratocaster performers that is truly one of a kind, ROBIN TROWER.

Robben Ford, and I really regret not getting into him 35 years ago.

John Notto, and really the whole band Dirty Honey. These kids figured it out: Les Paul + JMP + a fantastic singer.

With thanks to YouTube’s suggestions, Kirk Fletcher, Robben Ford, Josh Smith, Guthrie Trapp, and JD Simo. All are tops in their particular areas…Simo just nails it every time.

She is definitely a keeper! It is unfortunate that she will never experience a real Dead show, though. Mrs. Roadie tolerates the GD, but seriously doubt she would have ever gotten on the bus without my coaxing.

Actually been revisiting my love for Country-Rock that I was into in the mid-late 1970's in HS.

I love ( and play) the harder/louder 'Southern Rock' stuff( Allmans, Skynyrd, MTB...)

but here, I'm talking Poco ( mainly!) Pure Prarie League, Eagles, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Dan Fogelberg, America, Dead too...

But I've been swimming lately in Poco, with excellent guitar by Jim Messina, later, Paul Cotton, and amazing steel guitar of Rusty Young.
    Fantastic music!

I love seeing Lennys name mentioned. He was such an amazing guitar player and so often overlooked in favor of Chet. You sir, have amazing taste!

I am almost never very intentional about listening to music. So my focus (it's hard to call it that) when I hear a song or see a performer on a video is usually on the tune and the vocal performance, maybe the visuals. I'm not very critical about the guitar playing, generally.

I know this inattention to better guitar players has cost me as a player myself. I is what I is.

Adam Levy. The work he does with pedal steel player Rich Hinman is incredible. They’ve posted some live clips recently on their Instagram pages that are wonderful.

Luca Benedetti. He did a really good duo record with Jim Campilongo last year, and his album We’ll Get There from a few years ago is excellent. Really good live clips of his band are on Youtube.

Celisse. Total wailer. You’ve gotta know her.

Adam Brisbin. He’s the lead guitarist for a couple of indie artists I follow, Sam Evian and Buck Meek.

Lot of Junior Brown lately- I don't know, he's just cool. Doesn't play the lap steel part of the guitar in this one, but breaks out a lot of stuff. Nothin' beats fun.
