Hi all

Great to be back after a year off.

Good luck to all.

This year im doing a build for myself. Plan is for a thinline. Hopefully ill get through the construction a bit quicker so i can spend more time on finishing.

Ill try to do it some justice.

Freezing in perth at the moment. I wonder how spraying nitro is going to go later.

Shame your not in the challenge this year. I always like watching your builds.

Haha, your "freezing in Perth" is probably not quite as incondusive to guitarbuilding as "freezing in Wellington" is. ;)

Time to test out my new jointer. I bought this a few months after last years challenge with plans to make some more guitars. Life got busy and a year later im getting to test it.

Set the fence to be square.

I ran front side through and then flipped the other piece so the back was facing the fence. That way if the fence is slightly out it wont matter.

Did the glue up

I think there is a knack for using the planer. Was unsure to press down or against the fence. I think the join is good just not perfect.

Start neck tomorrow
