I'm pretty proud of my current guitar family. A year ago I'd never owned an A) American made guitar B) A laqcuer finished guitar or C) a vintage guitar. Now, after a big downsize/upgrade fest, all of my guitars tick at least one of those boxes. (I realized I don't have a beater guitar now though so... )

I had a good clear out last year. Got rid of several guitars and amps. This is what I'm left with / upgraded to:-
~ Custom made LP style Jr
    ~ Fender CS 62 Strat
~ Fender CS early 50s Tele
    ~ Fender AV 72 Thinline

I don’t have a “family”/group shot pic of all 9 of my guitars together. I do have one of all four of my Logan Custom guitars, so I’ll start there…

Getting pics of my other guitars is a trickier proposition. My desktop PC, which has my pics on it, is in the shop. (I know, I know…I should have done a backup and/or uploaded them to Cloud or whatever, but I’m hopelessly old school and, except for a few things I’ve learned to do, fairly computer illiterate. But here are pics of my other save one…

    My 1983 Hohner G-940…
    [IMG]

    …my Breedlove AD25/SM…

    …my Crafter FX570EQ…
    [IMG]

…my Wechter NV-5413E (Nashville-tuned parlor sized), pictured with my Hohner G-940…
    [IMG]

Not pictured (yet) is my Hohner DR-550, another dreadnaught. I’ll update my pics to this thread when I have access to them all and/or when I take some new ones.

Oh, and I relate to the "downsize in order to upgrade" thing. In the last month or so, I've sold 3 guitars and 1 amp, and I've got some other things I'm willing to sell if the price is right. And this with a view toward upgrading/getting new guitars to fill some sonic gaps.

Here's a group shot from a year or so ago:

    Then I built this one...

...and I have these three waiting in the wings in various states of completion. The six-string SG is 98% complete, and is just waiting on its custom pickguard to be delivered. The 12-string SG is being worked on now. The Les Paul-shaped one is a fall/winter project.

Oh, and a 3/4 scale Squire Strat just showed up here too. That makes 19 and a ukelele. My wife continues to ask when I'm going to start selling some of these.

    It seems it's now impossible to capture a picasa pic url in android. I'll see if I can do in on my pc. {got it}
This isn't all my guitars and a few are gone now. I call this my $1000 guitar collection. They were all inexpensive and a few are projects or toys but it also includes 3 Mia and some of my favorite guitars. The white strat was my main guitar for 20 years at $200 and the SG is a great playing ebony fb headstock repair for $160. Also my all solid wood acoustic that is really a pleasure to play is in there. I still have most of these and play them. Its crazy what you can get for $200 with some luck and for $1000 is just obscene. I'm trying to reduce a bit and the squier mini and the tobacco tele are gone but I could take the same picture and substitute my old Sigma acoustic or my really good sx callisto jr, p90 lp jr and still hit $1000.

Zuzax, in the pic you posted of your guitar family,in the bottom row on the floor, the arch-top 335 type guitar,is that a Univox ? My first electric guitar was a Univox that looked identical to the one in your pic.My dad bought it for me before going to Viet Nam and after he came home we traded it for the Epi Casino I've had since then. BTW,great family pic.

Here are my electrics, including a cheapo lap steel and bass. The CVC Tele on the right has no strings and will soon have a neck swap to convert it to a 12 string.

I've posted this shot before here I think, but this is my Fender Family, all black, gold, or both.

As promised, here is the DR550, shown here in a "family" grouping of my two Hohner dreadnaught acoustics: my 1983 G940 on the left and my 2011 DR550 on the right. Both dates given, BTW, refer to the date each was acquired. I think in both cases, those dates are reasonably close to the dates when each was made.

Sorry about the light glaring off the headstock on the G940. I've said it before, I take lousy pictures. For a clearer view of that headstock see my earlier post above (post #3 from 10 days ago).

    Great thread.
"I haven't got too many guitars - look at how many guitars these guys have"
    Excellent!
