As much as I love my dreads, I need a 000! Has anyone or can anyone compare these two? I've played the Blueridge and it was beautiful. Thanks for any help :D

I just bought a Martin 000-mmv from Guitar Center. It's an exclusive model so you won't find much info. I'll take pics when I get home. Like I said, I just bought it.

I think it is easier to build strong bass into an acoustic than it is to build in sweet treble.

If I were choosing between the two guitars, I would really focus on the upper mids and the treble coming out of the guitar. That is where the money is in an acoustic imo.

The Blueridge guitars I have played have great bass, thunderous, but the zing was not as strong. Still great but not as balanced.

Just my thoughts, I haven't played the guitars you mentioned, just Dreads.

I have the GAD series M-20, Just a heads up is is much smaller than a 000, probably somewhere between a 0 & a 00..just a wonderful guitar, very even response.
I have never played a Blue Ridge but I hear good things, I have played several entry level Martins including the 000x1 and the 00-15. Both lack the high end of the Guild, but they do have a nice sound.

I have a Guild GAD-M20E and it is great. I use it for mellow folk like tones. For bluegrass I would try a Epiphone EL-00 or a Recording King.

Yeah, like I mostly play finger picking on acoustics and the blueridge sounded good to me. Im not very good with acoustic sounds and bass and mids etc though haha. I imagine the Guild seeing as its mahongany will have a dampend sound? I'm probably totally wrong though haha.

Yeah I had a feeling about that, thats why I really need to play before if I go for it. Nick Drake was a massive bloke and he could fit it so hopeful'y I should be able to too haha. Thats good to hear, I couldn't find many reviews on the GAD series when it first came out, glad to hear they are good! I wasn't so keen on the entry level martins I played, pile of c**p with an expensive name on the headstock in my opinion. It could've just been a bad guitar, came off the production line wrong from the start!

Good man :D is it good for fingerpicking? Yeah I did look at the epiphone, they look awesome, very delta blues haha!
