Reverb+ insomnia=G5120 electromatic pickups en route to my house. Wanted something more jangly for my barncaster build. Biggest complaint seems to be these are dark in the original guitar so I'll use 1 meg pots and tinker with some caps to get em brighter if needed. Planning on using them in old dried pine body build. These were nicely broken in and $35 for the set.

Looking for tonal range of Schecter PT Fastback IIB. The WRB covers on the IIB i think are just for aesthetics, they sounds more Gretschy but with full size humbucker output, which is how the humbucker size G5120 pickups are usually described.

Caps and pots will get you close enough, but as a Gretsch guy, these are not that ‘Gretschy’, not within the signature Dyna/Filtertron/Hilotron trifecta at all. But if they work out it’s good all around.

I'm actually thinking of the Cabronita Especial S1 switch wiring harness for this setup to bypass the tone cap in normal mode.
