    Any Gretsch owners out there?

I have a Brian Setzer Hot Rod in metallic purple (I'll post pics ASAP). It's an amazing guitar - looks, feel, playability, tone, smell (we've all sniffed the f-holes, haven't we? Or is it just me...?).

Post pics of your Gretsch here. Old, new, USA, Japanese, solid, hollow, Electromatics, Synchromatics... lets see them!

And tell us exactly why you love Gretsches!

Man, sniffing f-holes is like sinking your face into a freshly oiled baseball glove and breathing in the cool aroma. Now if we could only find a way to combine the two...

Thanks for starting a Gretsch Guitar Club here!

Most of my guitars are Gretsch:

    My sole acoustic:

Stock photo of one of my faves (I am going to make a custom silver pickguard and matching truss rod cover for it as well as installing a classy tailpiece):

    Here's my baby:

And this one was a recent gift:

...I'm hoping to land a 5120 soon, and I intend for that to wrap up my GAS. Forever, unless something just flies apart and has to be replaced.

    Brian Setzer Hot Rod

As promised earlier, here are pics of my Setzer Hot Rod. It looks blue in the photos but it's more a Cadbury purple (British chocoholics will know what I mean).

I didn't get on with the original Space Control bridge, the low E kept popping out of the saddle. I replaced it with a bar bridge which solved that problem but I couldn't get the action low enough so I replaced the thumbwheels with stainless steel washers (I really didn't want to start messing about sanding the wooden base).

The Bigsby was a revelation. I'd never got on with wobble truncheons before but the feel of the Bigsby was just right for me. I've now added a B50 to my main Tele and a (Tokai made) Bigsby copy to my Fret King Esprit 1.

The TV Jones pups are amazing. They have a different sound to normal humbuckers, with a grittiness I just love.

    Way Out West

Here's my Americana Series acoustic. My fiancee gave it to me (thank you very much!) and I use it for my feeble attempts to play slide.

Would love to be a member of this club! Can't justify laying at the dough at this point, tho. :(

A beat up ol' Single Anniversary with the old model Filtrons is in the house. It is babied, because the binding is loose in it, and otherwise beat up. But, boy, does that pickup bring up some fierce mojo through the right amp!

Why do I love it? It sounds like George Harrison and Monkees records. It doesn't sound like ANY of my other guitars.

I've got a 2006-vintage Tennessee Rose. It's a fun guitar, I love the HiLo Trons.

My 1952 6193 Electro II (later known as the Country Club). Great big archtop with great big pickups. A rockabilly thumper

I owned this mid-sixties Tennessean for about 25 years, but I sold it about a year ago. I've missed it ever since.

And so I bought a G5120 yesterday. It's a pretty nice guitar for the price, although I'll probably replace the tuners and the pick-ups eventually.
