Though more well known for his biggest eighties hits, The Breakup Song and Jeopardy, Greg Kihn is also a skilled radio host up in San Francisco. But he’s also a good Telecaster player.

It has a rosewood fingerboard, so it might be a pre CBS Telecaster. He created some wonderful music in the eighties, and he just got finished touring with Rick Springfield. Greg also has played Rickenbacker, a Strat and a Vox 12 string, but it all started with the Telecaster!

I was supposed to see Greg & band open for Journey in 1982, but events transpired that we (me, the girl I was dating at the time, her best friend, and said best friend's boyfriend) missed the entire show. I heard Kihn's set and the first songs from Journey from the hallway of the arena before we had to leave to take the other girl home.
