Welcome to TDPRI
Hello and welcome to TDPRI. You came to the right place to learn about Tele's.
Good looking family of guitars you currently have.
Thank you. The Les Paul is my number one and it’s never leaving my side.
Welcome to the forum !!
Welcome to the fold.
All varieties of guitarness are welcome here. Thanks for the photos and keep playing.
I will. Btw what kind of truck is that on your avatar?
..it's a '46 Chevy cabover flat bed. Saw it sitting on a lot in southwestern Kansas. Not mine, but....that's a truck.
Welcome from Naperville!!
Don’t have a Tele yet...Gretsch, Strat and custom guitar guy at the moment. I really dig the Shock Brother’s DIY Amps section as well, which helped me get through building a Super Reverb Clone. Enjoy!
It looks awesome. How many guitars do you currently own?
I've been around for a good long while, so it's varied quite a bit over the years. Had as many as 20-some, but have been working to reduce the inventory. Somewhere around 15 at the moment, including acoustics, plus mandola and banjo and 9 electrics or so. 3 telecaster-style guitars on hand. Sold 2 acoustics this year and latest purchase was an Epiphone Sorrento - a hollowbody; 2012 reissue of the '62 version.
How about you? You say you're looking for a telecaster? You've come to the right place - and you'll get at least 50 recommendations!
Hi, neighbor, I’m about 2 hours south of you!
Welcome to tdpri!
At the moment I’ve got 3 three electric guitars and one acoustic guitar. A Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro III, Fender American professional Stratocaster HSS, and Gibson Flying V. My only acoustic is a Sigma from the 70s that needs a little work on it. I’ve also got 3 amps. Marshall DSL40CR, Boss Katana 50, and the newest addition is my Supro Blues King 12.
They’re great guitars but not the best for sitting down to play like a Les Paul or Stratocaster.
Speaking of amps. I got a screaming good deal from Sweetwater for their Black Friday sale. They had the Supro Blues King 12 at $299. However I saw a deal for it earlier in the day at $329 with the foot switch and cover but it was updated to not include it. After speaking with my sales engineer he ended up hooking me up with the original deal.
I know Fender brought back the road worns for a limited time and to be honest purples not my cup of tea for a guitar color. I know Danish Pete Honore rocks a purple Tele and he’s an outstanding player but it’s just not my color. That being said I did try a Road worn at the guitar center in Arlington Heights that was outstanding in a Lake Placid Blue finish. One thing I want to know is will these limited run road worns be worth more down the line after production has ceased?
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome...sounds like it's time to go shopping
