    Been playing for 40 plus years and been mainly a Fender guy for most of that. Played a lot of Strats and recently picked up a Tele (haven't owned one in about 15 years). I forgot just how awesome these guitars are! Looking forward to putting some miles on it.

    "Guelph" was named for a burp, of course;
    "Toronto's" Bulgarian (prob'ly for "horse").
    But whence you hail, town or city,
    Has little compare, for hale and pretty.

    Also, Tim Horton's raisin scone is a fine accomplishment.

    But has Brian Mulroney ever admitted that he is Dudley Do-Right?

    Welcome to the best Tele forum you'll ever find. I can't fault you on the Strats. They're probably the most comfortable electric guitar body shapes ever made and their 2 and 4 pickup switch positions produce a heavenly tone you can find no where else. Still ..... I own one Strat, (a first or second year of production Eric Johnson Signature Strat), and three Tele style guitars that all cost me more bread than the EJ Strat. There's just something about picking up a Tele ..... such an unassuming guitar shape sporting an oversized neck carve with a weird ashtray surrounding the bridge pickup that basically goes into the player / instrument relationship with it's dukes up just daring you to try and master it. Sometimes you don't want easy. You want a challenge. Strats put out on the first date. Teles make you earn it.

    Welcome! I’m from Michigan but have had a cabin in NW Ontario for 17 years and it is one of my favorite places ever, and I’ve been to a couple. Good friends up there I keep in touch with year around. It is fun here, enjoy! 93220EF4-CFA3-43BD-ABDA-93DA1C46B622.jpeg i
