Hello Tele-friends

Just chiming in to greet everybody on this great forum. My name is Morten, I’ll pretty soon turn 40 y.o., and I’m from Norway. I’ve played the guitar for 30 years this year. In my 20’s I played the guitar for a living for four years. Today I work as a music teacher, and I play in a couple of bands as a (great) hobby: One cover band, and one instrumental act. I’ve played on several albums here in Norway throughout the years, but I never became a rock star 😂 But That’s completely allright. I’m married, father to two daughters, 5 and 11 years old. Genre-wise I’m heavily into country music, roots, folk, surf, rockabilly, instrumental music, and rock. The Telecaster is my all-time favourite guitar. I currently have a beautiful Baja, alongside an American Original Jaguar, and a Dano 12-string. Amps: Supro Statesman, and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a Creamback. Really into pedals as well. I’ll attach a couple of pictures of my gear. My happy place is a Tele, my Origin compressor and a good tube amp. Really into country picking, and surf sounds with my Jag.

My instrumental band, «The Desert Star Revival» will release our debut album this summer, on all digital plattforms. We are currently mixing this record. Having lots of fun!

Anyway, happy to be a part of this great community. Thanks for having me.
Welcome!

I'm in Canada and my wife and I are gonna take the family to norway this summer! Your country it gorgeous!

Cool and welcome to the group!

I lived in Norway for about 9 months on a military deployment. Mostly near Narvik and Tromso, but spent some time around Trondheim as well. Out of all the places I have been (a very long list) Norway was by far my favorite. Great people, great times, and a lot of good stories.

I need to get back there again one of these days as it has been awhile.

We want to go camping in your country , but we dont have the courage to do it this time of year, LOL

He he! The winters here are a little hard. It's snowing like crazy here now. But you get used to it!

That's awesome! Where in Norway are you going to? I live in Elverum in the south-east. I would love to go to Toronto! We should switch houses for a week. He he!

Welcome.

How do you like your Hot Rod Deluxe with the Creamback? I've been using an Eminence Red Fang alnico in mine.

Not a bad offer! We have people lined up to cat-sit while we're gone, but in the future, I'm sure my wife would very excited for that type of arrangement! (She's a huge fan of that part of the world. We went to Copenhagen this past september)
