    Hi everyone.

I have been turning to TDPRI for a few years now - for reading and advice on all things tele. It finally made sense to sign up. I play mostly electro jazz (Scofield, Frisell, Lage, Stern, etc.). It took me waaaaaay to long to admit that I'm more an electric player than an archtop player and to settle into tele land.

My #1 is a Koentopp t-style - what a killer guy and great builder. It has the Ellis pups that everyone talks about. They are definitely the best I've tried. I also had a 64 AVRI in white blond that I loved and stupidly offloaded. Lots of other guitars have gone through the cache over the years, as well. My main amp is a Carr Rambler, which does everything I need. Too many effects in and out of the rotation to mention.

Anyway, lost in COVID land like everyone, and just plugging in to stay connected!

    ~Nick

Welcome! I grew up in ND.... when I turned 30 I realized I was free to leave. Still have friends in the Bismarck/Mandan area.

Very cool. I'm from Bismarck, now living in Mandan. No place like home, as they say.

You can't trick us. We know nobody lives in North Dakota. You'll have to get up pretty early in the morning to get one over on this group. Yup. Anyway, welcome stranger.

    Nick,

Mike Stern is now doing online lessons at the collective in NYC. Actually seems like all touring musicians are offering online lessons. The world is temporarily upside down.
