Hello there

I made a HH strat a while ago. Kind of a mess of a job but it's turned into my favorite guitar despite being ugly af.

I put the Seymour Duncan Jazz/JB set in it and I love it. I have it coil split with a Freeway switch and out of phase with a push pull. It's an amazingly versatile guitar.

I want to build a non-ugly version of the same guitar.

I really love the out of phase sounds.

ANYWAY long story short.

I just say SD came out with the Green Magic pickups with the magnet reversed as Peter Green's was. Is there an appreciable difference between that and having an out of phase shift on my HH guitar? If I put an out of phase shift on the Green Magic pickups would I end back in phase? I think I'd rather stick with the pickups I like so much but just wondering what the difference is.

Thanks!
Paul

Out of phase is out of phase, whether you do it with wires or magnets is my understanding.
Lots of vintage Gibson's came with out of phase pickups back in the day, kinda haphazardly, listen to T bone Walker's ES5.
