Can't do it, because they're all Rolling Stones albums.

I don't like this rule. At all. Because Peter Gabriel's 3rd (face melt) and Genesis' Foxtrot would both be in my top 5 favorites. And Gabriel took a really different direction when he left Genesis. So I'm playing under protest.
I also have many many favorites, so picking just 5 is really difficult.

    Genesis - Foxtrot
    Marillion - Misplaced Childhood
Frank Zappa - Just Another Band From L.A.
Bruce Springsteen - The Wild, The Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle
Yes - Close To The Edge

and way way way way way too many honorable mentions (Deep Purple - Machine Head, the Dream Academy, Pink Floyd - Animals, Kix, Thin Lizzy - Live And Dangerous, Blue Oyster Cult - Some Enchanted Evening, The Kinks - One For The Road, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Gimme Back My Bullets, My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade, Pearl Jam - Ten, U2 - War, ZZ Top - Tres Hombres, Shaver - Unshaven, the Nixons, UK, King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King, ELP - Tarkus, Prince - Purple Rain, Van Halen, Carbon Leaf - Indian Summer, Biug Head Todd and the Monsters - Live Monsters, Tom Petty - Damn The Torpedoes, The Who - Who's Next, Black Sabbath - Paranoid, Rainbow - Rising, Michael Schenker Group, Racer X - Street Lethal, etc, etc, etc).
