Great Songs in Open G Tuning?!

    Joni Mitchell: "Both Sides Now" and "Circle Game."

    And Joni reportedly also used a "Low G" Open G tuning for "Electricity," "For the Roses" and "The Good Samaritan."

    "Indian Summer" by Joe Walsh is in Open G

    I always played "Do For the Others" by Stephen Stills in dropped D, but it could be G.

    I've heard Jackson Browne do "Running on Empty" in G.

    And I recently rediscovered a song I wrote in college that came to life when I was messing with it in open G.

    The intervals between the strings here are the same as open G - just down one step so it's open F.
