I'm a huge Keef fan - he's a musician's musician. It was no surprise to me he digs the back up players - he's like the heartbeat of his band.

I loved "Life," and "Under the Influence" was fun to watch.

not knowing it makes you the opposite of KR, right? He says he knew who played on records and bought the records with the 'good players'... and you don't do the same thing... he taught you something, you valued it (posted about it, right) and then you don't know... CLASSIC!
It was a rhetorical question. Buy a dictionary and teach yourself something. I was just posting some things from his autobiography that I found interesting and wanted to share with other fellow guitar players who may be interested. If you're not interested you're probably better off not reading, or you can continue with your obtuse comments, which I will then ignore.

He comes across as being totally comfortable in his own skin. I find him hilarious a lot of the time. If i could pick anyone in the world to have a beer with (if I still drank) it would be him.

rockin roll gods, no longer hold my imagination or attention. I like music and admire the talent. I've lost interest in what the rock machine grinds out.
" you play to be paid, or pay to be played to, I think something is missing somewhere or am I just missing the point.
I like playing for myself and it's just me and my tuning in to how it feels, I mean Ludwig Van and Penderecki speak to me along with son house and our whole america roots catalog but really when I play alone at home I don't get distracted from the feeling of having it come through me.
but hey, I'm an introvert so ....;)

I've just read Bill Janoviz's Rocks Off - 50 Tracks that Tell the Story of Rolling Stones. It's pretty good, going over a lot of familiar ground but a few new insights from a musician's perspective.

I always knew the fuzz guitar in Satisfaction was a bit ropey and it was supposed to be a demo, surprising Keith when he heard it on the radio after it's release. In the book, Janovitz points out that at 0:35 you can hear a distinct click when Keith kicks the pedal back on. Then on 1:36 it's clicked on again but 4 notes too late and at 2:33 he starts it too early. I love how even such blatant 'mistakes' don't detract from a great song and in a way even contrubite to it's immediate raw quality.

And speaking of Satisfaction, he says that Jumpin' Jack Flash is Satisfaction in reverse.
