Aw, great....now I'm GASsing...
WOW! I LOVE the art work! Im going to pick up some! but what is a MIM or any of those terms?
MIM = Maoist Internationalist Movement
MIA = Missing In Action.
I thought MIM was made in Miami.... just hang on s.c. someone will post a bookmark of abbreviations...
Men in Mauve - It's a cross between Men in Black and Austin Powers
Made in Mexico; Made in America
Tim73, That large print of the tele player is awesome! Where did you find that?
Jellecaster, I'll take a picture and send it too you for free and then you can spend the $399 on another partscaster.
I was gas'n until I saw the price, then the gas passed....
EBay! I had to get it framed which cost more than the pic - it looks much better in the flesh, I nearly didn't post as it's not the best photo of the picture. Even my wife likes it which is always a bonus!!!
Here, take these down to Kinko's and have your own prints made up. Be a lot cheaper and just as cool.
Great stuff Tim...but your stuff looks like real art, compared to Fender's commercial offerings.
They're doing the Disney marketing thing of doing a "limited run" and putting them in the "vaults" for a few years, to re-release them due to demand later.
Real ltd. ed. prints were that, cause the printing process would wear out the stone or copper etchings after so many prints were made.
Hence, the limited edition designation.
Unless they state that the original printing plates have been destroyed,the idea of "limited edition prints" doesn't sit well with me at all.
Especially at $400 a pop,which should buy some exclusivity to be sure!
I would create my own for the cost of the art supplies I already have...
That would buy a fair amount of art supplies or...a new pickup for my build +dinner out for me and my wife with change left over!
Just grab one of these off ebay. I just got one for my "guitar room". Not the same but may relieve some of the GAS pressure!
WOW! Thanks for those! I don't know if you were being a tad sarcastic or not, but I am actually going to do that. I might get the first one matted and framed.
I did decide to pass on the print. Fender has a bunch of non-Limited Edition Tele prints that are almost as cool and not nearly as expensive.
Thanks Jellecaster...now you've got me juiced up to do a Tele painting!:idea:
And thanks to you Jaydawg for giving me a platform to build on.
Ya never know where this place will take you next...
Hey Jomo...that pick clock at $30 or so would be a better deal for a commercial item for sure.Great for the studio!
PM fellow TDPRI member photoweborama.. his pics are magic
and I'd bet he can satisfy your needs....( that sounds dirty eh )..
