Grizzly just published their Christmas sale magazine, and I noticed they reduced the price on the President's Special Router table.

I bought one of these tables recently, and I have to say it is an amazing router table package for the money. Its big, sturdy, and is setup to do a lot of cool stuff with its rails and heavy duty fence.

This exact same router table on other wood working sites sells for 2-3 times as much.

I am pretty frugal when it comes to buying stuff like this, and I have to say. This router table is more useful than my home made router tables. Once I go back home, I intend to take the top of this table and build a mobile cabinet for it to make it even nicer.

Just thought I would share what I consider a good deal.

Is that the $106 deal? Oh and not to highjack your thread but I got some bench cookies due to your post and they are everything you said and more.

From on your toys thread I bought that table, I haven't assembled it yet. Thanks for the recommendation.

I just looked at that magazine Monday and I've got to say I saw that and thought...wow, that beats the pants off my home made job I threw together from a section of kitchen cabinet. This review is just what I needed to push me over the edge with ordering it. Thanks Colt, for sharing your experience with this product...much appreciated.

Colt - Thanks for the tip - I've comparison shopped & the similar table top at Rockler.com was $169 without the stand. I thought about making it, and then said - I cannot even finish a guitar - how am I going to make a decent table? I ordered mine today & while I was at it I also ordered the Whiteside RFT5200 on Amazon.com w/ free shipping - $82.00. Christmas early this year!! Thanks for the bird-dogging.

BUMP - I got mine on Monday & the kids helped me build it - Heavy Sucker & BIG. Now I definitely can't fit anything else in the garage. Quite a deal, and the new 1-yr old PC 690LR (never used) will have a great new home under it. The RFT5200 Whiteside bit should have been here same day as the table, but USPS could not find their way round my part of town until Wednesday. I have a day off tomorrow and I hope to make progress on my new 60th birthday goal - FINISH all of the guitars on the slate by July 17th 2012. That'd be 14 new guitars (2 or 3 for the kids). Wish me luck - and pray for a lack of tangentiality syndrome.
