    Heh...

As he talks, he keeps his eyes fixed on the stage, where a young guitar player is strenuously performing an overstuffed solo on “Sweet Home Chicago.”

“The young man might consider another song,” he says.

Did he explain why he can’t finish half the songs in his set, (for decades), delivering the same spiel of blues related history, displacing his actual music performance. Sorry, not trying to be disrespectful, but he’s been doing this, (in my presence at concerts), for almost 30 years...seriously, let the music tell the story!

    A brush with greatness:

During a break at a Buddy & Junior gig at the legendary Shaboo Inn, Mansfield CT, I made so bold as to offer Mr Guy a homemade cigarette.

"Aw, if I spoke that, I won't be able to play," he said.

"So smoke it after the show," I advised.

"What a pushy little White boy," he must've thought.

Technically this was the first post on the New Yorker article. But who's counting as long as people interested in Buddy get to read it.
