And an excellent interviewer
Can’t believe he’s still has that voice!
Who is this guy?? great counter interview>
Saw him live in Cambridge last year - his final tour maybe. He was great with plenty of stories in between songs.
His son took some of the high parts he can't get now. But the show was superb - especially when he took on the songs he famously sang lead on.
Very cool guy.
Artie is one of a kind, for sure.
Fun fact - When he wrote his book, the publisher thought his handwriting was so good that they actually turned his own handwriting into a font and published the book in his own hand!
Fun fact #2 - he's kept a running list of every book he's ever read in his life. Keeps the list in notebooks.
Saw Simon and Garfunkel ages ago with the Everly Brothers opening for them. For the whole show Art was fun and enthusiastic, while Paul was serious and dour. Also saw Art with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, which was wonderful.
Indeed, truly beautiful and pure!
The interview was in 2003, so presently it may be a little different.
Thanks for that, too.
it was only 15 years ago give or take a few months that simon and garfunkel toured with the everly brothers. it was a great show bec it was the 1st night on my new job and the boss told me go have a seat and watch the show .
Mark Stewart the music director of these shows is a force all his own. A most memorable event all around.
Good interview. I have always loved their music together and apart and
especially Mr Garfunkel’s voice.
