I see a number of things in this thread that I would eat.
I’m so pathological that I’d probably grab a long spoon and eat that molten pool out of the bottom of the oven.
How about gratuitous Backyard Pizza Oven pics? Not just for pizza anymore…
Yeah good idea, You need a long spoon to eat with the devil.
it could be hot at the bottom of the oven...sitting on the kitchen floor
I could see myself eating that.
I've got two to share. I do big pizza nights for 10 to 20 people, usuallyclose friends and family in the area. Last Wednesday I hosted one and came up with an idea for a Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza. I'm not the inventor of Hot Chicken or the Hot Chicken pizza by any means, but it was tasty!
So two days later I'm driving home, realizing I still have 2 crusts left, cheese, Pepperonis, and sauce, I figure I have everything I need for a Chicago style deep dish pizza. My wife got a deep dish pizza stone from her grandma that we've never used. So the crust isn't technically correct for Chicago, but whatever. It was good.
Homemade deep dish
Definitely wood over metal for a pizza peel. You get a lot less chance of it sticking. And I'd add to Guitarteach that I use a little flour and a little more Semolina flour. It's less coarse than cornmeal, and does the same job. And if you're making a heavy pizza with lots of toppings, just keep shaking the peel every now and then while you're making the pizza to keep it loose from the peel and decrease the chance of sticking.
They are all good
Skinny flat ones
Deep Dish Chicago
Too late for tonight’s adventure…
What’s wrong with it?
Cold day old pepperoni pizza in the morning. yum yum !
Breakfast of champions!
I can't cook a glass of water, but here is one of my faves in the world ( MD/D.C-area) Armands
( a hybrid- deep dish/Chicago style, but topped like NY style: crust> sauce> cheese>toppings )
This one, pepperoni/ spinach&garlic, is amazing!
These all look incredible...every single one.
I've never tried to do homemade pizza, but I made lasagna once and it seemed I messed up every kitchen utensil I owned. So I know my limitations.
Keep the pictures coming though!
But hey, eh, where's the pineapple, anchovies and hot peppers?
