Southern Illinois with two Grandsons along for moral support  I told her I want jerky for a holiday gift! Anybody else out there getting a few. Her Dad got one last week. He's making jerky too!

Her brother and Dad have bows. Not sure why she's got the bolt. Didn't talk to her yet. Tomorrow morning. Of course most all kids in my family are brought up hunting and fishing as us older "kids" were also. Great bonding.

I know the gun probably isn’t going to go off, but the way it’s pointed kind of scares me. Careful out there.

I'm glad youthful people can be brought up to enjoy the benefits of hunting. I remember my first one.
I'm 2 for 10, meaning I've shot two in ten years.
That is a nice example of a typical white tail for around here, here being mid Missouri.

That’s a GREAT first deer! Heck, that’s a great deer period. Congratulations to her!

How long has she been hunting?

That was my third text message to her. I wish I could show my phone message. I said..."Oh and next time point that rifle a little differently for the photo." We are a safety first family and her brothers are in deep sheis because of this!

She has been coming with us since she was about 6 years old. But she
started shooting at 16. She is now 19. She wasn't interested in cracking one off earlier but our sibling rivalry is strong and promoted healthily in our family. She is a multi sport athlete, a former city Parade Queen and a college sophmore. And she's ours.

my first thought was the gun pointing at her as others have said...

my second thought is i hope she is going to help process the kill and use every part of the beast..

third and finally... good shot kid !!

Apart from the last post, you're a bunch of assholes. Hope you all come back as a deer. WTF is a thread like this doing on a site about guitars and music? Utterly disgusting.

Wrote something minutes ago, but decided to delete it, as I don't see the point in internet-discussions like these. Shouldn't have read the thread in the first place, my mistake.
